The submission period for all annual leave requests, for choice vacation periods of one (1) week or more, shall be from April 1st to 15th and all requests must be acted on no later than two (2) weeks after the final submission date. The choice vacation period will be May 15 through September 15. The submission date notice must be posted for at least two (2) weeks, and no earlier than March 1st, but no later than March 15th. A duplicate Form 3971, prepared by the employee, must be returned to the employee, indicating the action taken by Management, within two (2) weeks following the closing date established. Where there has been no official action taken by Management within the two (2) week period, the requested leave shall be automatically approved.
